CALM workshop
A six week course in Hinckley, run by a qualified counsellor.
It includes topics as diverse as abdominal breathing, deep
relaxation skills, anxiety management, positive thinking, coping
with depression, learning to say 'NO', happiness and being more
assertive.

Anger Management workshop and Anger Management One to
One
Workshop - 6 weeks
Our Anger Management Course is a 6 week programme providing a
wealth of practical help and knowledge to assist in anger
management. Learn how to leave behind the cycles you don't
want and bring in new ways of thinking to achieve the results
you do want.

things that make me angry. I have lost my temper once since
starting the course where before i would lose my temper every other
day. I am finding that I am feeling better in myself now that
I am gaining control of my anger. I would like to thank Kathy
for helping me to understand my emotions a lot better than I did

One to One - 4 weeks
This is the same format as the above workshop, but obviously the
work will be more tailored to suit the individual's
needs. Each weekly session is one hour lasting 4
weeks. More sessions can be arranged as per the needs of each
client.

Independent Living Advice & Mindpay Service
Independent Living Advice
Our Independent Living Advice Service offers information and
support in all aspects relating to Direct Payments.
We can help you with:
Recruiting a Personal Assistant or Carer, Advice about payroll
and employment issues, managing the financial side of your payment
either independently or via our Mindpay service.
A regular monthly fee will give you access to information and
advice as and when you need it.
Mindpay Service
If you are in receipt of a direct payment but do not want to
manage the finances yourself you can use our Mindpay Service.
We can help you with: Holding money in an account, Dealing with
all payments, providing regular statements, monitoring your spend
and ensuring receipt of Personal Budget from the local authority is
on time and correct, investigating any queries, as well as all
aspects of Payroll if you are employing your own Personal
Assistant/s
You can relax knowing that the financial management of your
personal budget is taken care of.
A regular monthly fee will give you access to this service.
Personal Assistant/Mindpay Services
Personal Assistants
Our personal assistant service provides support to individuals
while enabling the client to have as much control over that support
as possible.
What we can offer: This can vary considerably, as it very much
depends on the needs of the individual and their support plan. It
is likely to include:
Daily household tasks,
Shopping,
Help to access community
facilities,
such as shops, the library,
swimming pool, cinema, etc,
All services and support are completed in partnership with
you.
We aim to match you with an assistant that you choose and who
enhances your experience of this service.
All our Personal Assistants have to complete our Personal
Assistant Training Programme as well as other ongoing training.
Our mission is to provide a service that makes a positive
difference in your life and is personalised to best meet your
needs.
There is a charge of £13 per
hour plus associated costs such as transport, bus fares, entrance
fees, refreshments etc.

Care Clusters
Our Care Clusters service provides support to groups of people
with a shared interest.
What we can offer: This can vary considerably, as it very much
depends on the needs of the individuals and their support plan.
Some examples are: fishing group, book club, travel club, craft
club, tennis club.
Benefits of being in a cluster:
Offers new opportunities, Increases knowledge, Can be fun
sharing the experience and exchanging information, ideas etc.
There is a charge per hour plus associated costs such as
transport, bus fares, entrance fees etc,
Personal Assistant Support Service
Our Personal Assistant Support Service offers a training and
support programme for Personal Assistants.
We can offer: Personal Assistant induction training including
personal assistant handbook.
We have a range of training courses to choose from including,
first aid, moving and handling, health and safety, food hygiene,
infection control, adult protection, managing challenging
behaviour, risk assessment, stress awareness, equality and
diversity.
One to one supervision and telephone support.
Mediation Service - A regular monthly fee will give you access
to training and support as and when you need it.

Social Drop in Groups

Social Drop-In Groups
A place where people experiencing mental distress can socialise
with others experiencing similar problems.
Staff are present to provide support and information. There are
opportunities and information available for people who want to
engage in education, employment, volunteering and leisure.
If people require one to one support with this then a referral
can be made to the appropriate services.
Social drop ins take place as follows, contact us if you are
interested in attending and we can arrange for you to make an
initial visit:
(once you have visited once and registered with us you can then
drop in to your chosen group/s as you wish)
Hinckley: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at
various locations.
Desford: Tuesdays
Coalville: Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays mornings
