Lutterworth Rotary Club Have kindly been raising funds for us
through a Great Balloon Race event which saw hundreds of balloons
released at Cosby Air Show a couple of weekends ago.
Our volunteers that helped out on the day said the
following:
"I would like to say Thank You to Lutterworth Rotary Club for
helping WLMind and for making my wife and i feel welcome.
What a spectacular venue for such an event, thank you to all
the people who sponsored us."
" The aim of our day was to get as many people
interested to take part in the great balloon race, at just a pound
ago. Myself and three other members of staff took our clip
board,sheets to be filled ,and mingled through the
crowds of people that attended the Victory Show. People's
Names were attached to beautiful blue balloons. At the stall
people of the Lutterworth Rotary club were working very
hard getting ready to launch the balloons into the
sky.
It was a very eventful, positive two day's as we all
enjoyed ourselves very much.
All members of staff are getting very excited to hear where the
three furthest balloons will be found, who will be the lucky
winners and most of all how much money was raised for the amazing
charity, Mind.
a massive thank you to everyone for their kind
generosity who brought a ticket entering the great balloon
race."
Lutterworth Rotary club are still waiting for balloons to be
returned and the deadline is approaching.
We will publish winners and the location of the furthest balloon
as soon as we are informed.
